CREATIF 5th OFFICIAL HAIR JAM IN TORONTO 2018
Créatif held its 5th edition in Toronto this May, with a night dedicated to celebrating the craft of hairdressing. Over the course of the evening, sixteen hairdressers were allotted twenty minutes on stage to do a haircut, an upstyle, or any looks they want to share with the audience. Attendees were also treated to a creative showing featuring top industry leaders including Ray Civello, Peter Gray, Lupe Voss and Charlie Price.
The Toronto edition of Créatif is unique as all proceeds from the evening go to WaterAid Canada to support clean water projects in Madagascar.
“Créatif was created because I felt that we were losing the opportunity for hairdressers to celebrate and share their love for hairdressing with the community,” explained Ray Civello, CEO of Collega International and Civello Salons. “The energy is incredible, and it’s a lot of fun. And the wonderful thing about it is this is not about what salon you work for or what brand you’re sponsored by; this is an opportunity for everyone to come together and say we love hairdressing, we’re celebrating the craft, and we’ve come together to cheer each other on.”
