- Sometimes a hug is what you need! Paul Mitchell Schools will fill that need on October 13, 2015 during their 7th Annual Free Hugs Day

Around 14,000 future professionals from 110 Paul Mitchell cosmetology schools carrying handmake "Free Hugs" signs and sporting fabulous hair will head for plazas, parks and other popular spots to offer hugs and make people's day. Paul Mitchell artists, educators and executives will join the students at Free Hugs locations.
The event - in its seventh year, is inspired by the Sick Puppies You Tube video about Juan Mann's Free Hugs campaign. Paul Mitchell Schools have held Free Hugs Days since 2009, hugging for free from Times Square to the Alamo and everywhere in between.
Paul Mitchell Schools Dean and Cofounder Winn Claybaugh noted that students not only hit the streets once a year to hug, but also participate in annual events to honour September 11 and veterans. They also visit the elderly in care centers and have raised over $15 million for several charitable causes. "We prepare our graduates with the best training to cut and color hair, but also help them to know how to give back to their communities."
