Ron Anderskow, senior vice president of sales for Wella North America, has announced that Elise Massicote will depart September 1, 2015 as the company’s Country Manager for Canada, to be succeeded by Davy De Bondt.

Massicotte, who has led the salon business in Canada for nearly four years, will move into corporate sales in the Toronto headquarters of Wella’s parent company, P&G. De Bondt will relocate from his current assignment in Geneva, Switzerland to Wella North America’s Toronto office.

A native of Belgium, De Bondt began his career in finance and moved into consumer product sales at P&G in 2008. After working on retail customer teams, he joined Wella, the Salon Professional Division of P&G, in 2011. Most recently, De Bondt has led the Marketing, Strategy and Planning work for Wella’s Global Distributor Operations in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, which encompasses business across 46 countries.

“Elise has been a tremendous advocate for Canadian salons and for our Wella professional business in Canada. We’re sad to see her go, but happy to watch her succeed in this next phase of her career,” said Anderskow.

“Davy will immediately jump into the business by beginning to meet customers and the team,” he continued. “He’s dedicated to growing the salon industry and is a true organizational champion. He is the absolute right candidate to build on the success of the Wella company in Canada.”

“I’m excited to have the opportunity to lead Wella’s Canadian organization,” said De Bondt. “Wella Canada has a tremendous culture of teamwork, and I believe together we’ll be able to help salons all over the country reach the next level.” Congratulations Davy!
