Golden Ratio

1:1.618 as known as golden ratio.

You can find it in all life forms on the Earth, even in human beings. As we are living in the world of cosmetics, we try to make ourselves look as perfect as we can.

This collection is a reflection of the people and how we enslave ourselves by being so obsessed with beauty and trying to be perfect. In many way I took a few different elements as my inspiration, from different cultures to fairy tales and objects in our life. I used the cape from the Snow White's evil queen to represent jealousy of others beauty, the saddle shows how people can be slaves to beauty.

The over exaggerated head and neck comes from tribes in Africa and China who change body shape physically to be attractive to others. And the wing-like hair is taken from the mask of pharaoh in ancient Egypt the culture that has seen many signature looks. The hands are the basis of the theory. We use hairstyles to change looks and how much people think it can change us as people. And finally the heel is about the simple idea how far we will go for looks when wearing high heeled shoes.
